School Line Marking Services We Provide in Brisbane
Playground games and school car parks, quoted game by game and bay by bay.
Playground Games
Playground games we paint include hopscotch, four square, handball courts, snakes and ladders and target games, on asphalt and concrete play areas.
Each game is priced on its own line, so a school can start with a few and add more later. Tell us the age group the area serves, because games for Prep and games for Year 6 look different.
Whole Playground Packages
Whole playground packages we plan as one layout, spacing ten or more games across a play area so queues do not form at one court and quiet games sit away from ball games.
A marked-up aerial photo or plan of the grounds is the best starting point. Packages can be staged across several holiday breaks to spread the cost over two budget years.
Number Grids, Maps and Learning Games
Outdoor learning markings such as 100-square number grids, alphabet trails, clock faces and maps of Australia are painted by our crew for teachers who take lessons outside.
Bring the curriculum idea to the site visit, since a number grid sized for a whole class works differently from one for a small group. Custom designs are cut as stencils and kept for the next repaint.
Bike and Road Safety Tracks
Bike and road safety tracks we mark with lanes, give way lines, a roundabout and a pedestrian crossing, so children practise road rules on a small circuit inside the school fence.
Tracks need a long, clear run of asphalt. Measure the space you have in mind or show it to us at the visit, and the layout is drawn to fit.
School Car Parks and Drop-Off Zones
Staff car parks, pick-up bays and kiss-and-drop lanes inside the school grounds get our bays, arrows and hatched no-parking areas so the afternoon queue flows in one direction.
Tell us how the drop-off actually runs on a busy afternoon, because the markings have to match the way parents drive through, whatever the old plan says. Bus bays need their own space.
Crossings and Walkways in the Grounds
Pedestrian crossings and walkways inside the grounds are marked by us where students walk between the car park, the gate and the classrooms, with hatched areas where cars must not stop.
Crossings on the public road outside the fence belong to the road authority, so the quote covers the school side of the boundary, up to the front gate.
How a School Line Marking Job Runs
1. Free school site visit
We walk the grounds with you, measure the play areas and car park, and note where each game or marking will go.
2. Game-by-game school quote
Every game, bay and crossing is priced on its own line, so the school can pick what fits the budget.
3. Holiday or weekend booking
Work is booked for school holidays or weekends so the grounds are empty and the paint can dry.
4. Playground set-out and painting
Games are chalked out to size, checked with you if you are on site, then painted in the agreed colours.
5. Drying and grounds handover
Painted areas stay coned off until dry, and we walk the finished grounds before leaving.

School Zones, Growing Enrolments and Brisbane Playgrounds
Brisbane City had 75,201 children aged 5 to 9 and 79,178 aged 10 to 14 in the 2024 population estimates. Logan and Moreton Bay added another 61,761 children aged 5 to 9 between them. More children means busier playgrounds and busier drop-off zones, and both wear markings faster.
The school zone on the street outside is a different matter. Queensland school zones sit with the relevant road authority, and Transport and Main Roads sets standard operating times of 7 to 9am and 2 to 4pm for most of them. Inside the fence, the school decides the car park, crossings and playground markings.
Asphalt play areas in Brisbane take full sun for most of the year. Bright colours fade toward pastel after a few summers, and that repaint is a good time to add new games.
