Warehouse Line Marking Services for Brisbane Floors
Eight kinds of warehouse floor work, each quoted by lane, walkway and zone in the paint system that suits its traffic.
Forklift Lanes and Pedestrian Walkways
Walkways are what we mark first on most warehouse floors, because keeping people on foot and forklifts apart is the aim of a forklift traffic plan. Lanes, walkways and the crossings where they meet go down as one layout.
Bring the traffic management plan, or walk us through the daily forklift routes if the plan is still being written. Crossings go where walkways meet a forklift route.
Two-Pack Epoxy Floor Lines
Two-pack epoxy is our pick for floors where forklifts run all shift, because it bonds to prepared concrete and stands up to tyre scrub far longer than paint. Lighter areas can stay in paint to hold the cost down.
Tell us if the floor has been sealed or coated before, since that decides the preparation. Epoxy needs a longer cure than paint, so the zone stays closed for longer.
Loading Docks and Racking Aisles
Loading dock bays, truck set-down lines and racking aisle edges get marked by our crew so drivers and pickers know exactly where a pallet can sit.
Racking lines are set out from the racking itself, so book the marking after any racking move. Send the dock numbers and bay sizes if the site already has a numbering system, and the stencils will follow it.
Exclusion Zones and Hatching
Hatched zones we paint in front of fire exits, switchboards, hose reels and eyewash stations keep those areas clear, and forklift-only zones get outlined so staff read them at a glance.
Tell us which areas must stay clear under your site rules, and send photos of anything faded or blocked, so every zone is listed and priced on the quote.
Warehouse Yards and Hardstand
Outside the roller doors, we line truck yards, hardstand, container set-down areas and staff car parks on the same visit as the floor, so one crew finishes the whole site.
Yard lines on asphalt take a different paint from lines on a sealed floor, and both are listed on the quote. Heavy turning areas wear fastest, so tell us where trucks swing.
Staging Lanes and Pallet Bays
Staging lanes and pallet bays we mark in front of dock doors and along racking, numbered so pickers and forklift drivers stage each load in the same place every shift.
Send the dock door numbers and the pallet footprint you use, whether standard Australian pallets or something larger, and each lane is set out to fit it with room for the forklift to turn.
5S and Colour-Coded Floor Zones
Colour-coded floor zones for 5S and lean layouts we paint to the code your site already runs, outlining work cells, bin locations, quarantine areas and the spots where equipment lives.
Give us the colour key before the measure. If you run several sites, the zones match the others so a worker moving between warehouses reads every floor the same way.
Factory Floor Re-Marking
Factories we re-mark keep their existing layout, with worn lanes and faded walkways painted back to full colour, often in a single shutdown or weekend.
Where a production line has moved, the old lines come off first so staff are not reading two layouts. Mark up a floor plan with what has changed on the production floor and it goes into the quote.
How a Warehouse Line Marking Job Runs
1. Free warehouse floor measure
We walk the floor, measure lanes and walkways, check the concrete and any old coating, and note racking and dock positions.
2. Floor marking quote by the metre
Lanes, walkways, crossings, hatched zones and symbols each get their own line, with paint or epoxy named for each area.
3. Shutdown and shift planning
The job is booked around shifts, deliveries and stocktake, zone by zone if the floor has to keep running.
4. Floor preparation and marking
The concrete is cleaned and prepared, the layout set out against the plan, then marked in the agreed system.
5. Cure and zone handover
Each zone stays closed until its lines are cured, then we walk the floor with your safety lead.

WorkSafe Queensland Forklift Rules for Brisbane Warehouse Floors
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland puts it plainly in its forklift traffic management guidance. Keep pedestrians and forklifts separate, keep pedestrian floor markings highly visible and not faded, and clearly isolate and mark any no-go zones. A walkway worn down to bare concrete no longer does that job.
The same guidance names physical barriers such as bollards and railed walkways as a stronger way to stop forklifts and people meeting by accident. Lines mark the route. Barriers enforce it, and busy crossings often need both.
Brisbane City counted 12,139 transport, postal and warehousing businesses at 30 June 2025, up from 10,870 four years earlier, and their floors are spread along the freight routes. The TradeCoast warehouses around Eagle Farm and Pinkenba sit between the airport and the Port of Brisbane, while Rocklea, Acacia Ridge and Wacol carry the southside and western logistics sheds. Newer tilt-panel warehouses often have sealed floors, while older sheds can carry layers of past coatings, and that history decides how the floor is prepared.
