Car Park Hardware We Install in Brisbane
Safety Bollards
We install steel safety bollards where a car park needs a hard stop in front of shopfronts, doorways, gas meters, switchboards and walkways. A bollard takes the hit that would otherwise land on the building or on a person.
Bollards go in core-drilled into the slab or bolted to the surface, and the right choice depends on what sits under the concrete. Tell us about services, drains or a post-tensioned slab before the site visit.
Speed Bumps and Speed Humps
Our speed bumps suit strata driveways, childcare drop-offs and warehouse access roads where cars cut through faster than they should. Modular rubber or poly humps bolt down in sections, so the length matches the driveway width.
Humps get their markings on the same visit as the line marking so drivers see them at night. Ours go on private roads, car parks and driveways. Anything on a Brisbane City Council road is a Council decision.
Wheel Stops
Wheel stops we fix at the head of each bay keep bumpers off walls, glass shopfronts and footpaths. Concrete stops suit heavy-use car parks, while recycled rubber stops are lighter and easier to move when a layout changes.
AS/NZS 2890.1:2004, the off-street car parking standard, sets where a wheel stop sits in the bay. Send the site plan with your quote request if the bays are being re-set.
Tactile Ground Surface Indicators
Tactile indicators we install warn people with low vision before they step from a footpath into a car park aisle, onto a ramp or up a stairway. The raised studs or tiles are felt underfoot and through a cane.
Stainless studs suit shopfronts and entries, and polyurethane tiles suit long car park runs. The site measure decides which, and every run is listed on the quote by length.
How a Car Park Hardware Job Runs
1. Free site measure
We mark bollard positions, count the bays that need wheel stops, measure hump and tactile runs, and check the slab and anything under it.
2. Written quote
Each bollard, hump, wheel stop and tactile run is listed with its fixing method, next to any line marking on the same job.
3. Booking
A date and start time are agreed around your trading hours, tenants and deliveries.
4. Installation
Positions are set out and checked, then the hardware is drilled and fixed, with the line marking painted on the same visit.
5. Handover
We walk the site with you, check every fixing and leave the area clear to use.

What Moves the Price of Car Park Hardware
Standards and Council Rules for Car Park Hardware in Brisbane
AS/NZS 2890.1:2004 is the current Australian standard for off-street car parking, and it covers where wheel stops sit in a parking bay. Bay positions, wheel stops and the line marking are set out against it together, which is one reason hardware and lines are best done on the same job.
Tactile indicators are a building code matter. The National Construction Code clause D4D9 calls for them approaching stairways and ramps and where an accessway meets a vehicular way at a pedestrian entrance, and it requires them to follow sections 1 and 2 of AS/NZS 1428.4.1. The same rule sits in the Disability (Access to Premises, Buildings) Standards 2010.
Speed humps on public roads fall under the Queensland MUTCD Part 13, and on Brisbane City Council roads they are Council's call. Inside a private car park, a strata driveway or a warehouse yard, the owner or body corporate decides.
Drilling is where car park hardware goes wrong. Shopping centre decks and newer slabs are often post-tensioned, and a core drill through a tendon is an expensive mistake. Where the slab type is unknown, it gets scanned before any bollard goes in.
